Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critical to The American Dojo

We consider it a privilege that you provide your information to us. We believe you should control your personal information and that you hold the rights to all of your information. You honor our business by sharing information with us.
This policy covers how The American Dojo treats personal information that The American Dojo collects and receives, including information related to your past use of The American Dojo products and services. We may also keep records of research concerning your satisfaction with our services, which are obtained from surveys, customer interviews and questionnaires.

Policy

Sharing and Disclosure of Information
Information you supply to The American Dojo is not rented, sold, forwarded or in any way deliberately shared with people or non-affiliated companies except under the following circumstances:

  • In the course of doing business on your behalf. When The American Dojo must share your information with a third party, the privacy policies of that third party provider will apply to that information.
  • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, or as otherwise required by law.
  • In response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
  • In the event that The American Dojo is bought, sold, merged or re-organized in any way, your information will be transferred to the acquiring business.

Cookies

The American Dojo uses only Session Cookies. These provide for a minimum of login screens and a better user experience. Session IDs (a part of a session cookie), are the Property of The American Dojo and govern the access privileges of a site user. Session IDs are linked to a specific user only as long as the web site determines the session is active. The American Dojo stores non-personal information related to our Session IDs. This provides a means for improving site performance and security.

Confidentiality and Security
We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
American Dojo Martial Arts may update this policy at any time without notice to you. If you have provided personal information (ie. login, product or service purchase) to The American Dojo, you may request that The American Dojo advise you by email in the event this policy changes. You may exempt your records from falling within the new policy in the event you disagree with the policy change(s). In the event you exempt out, you understand that The American Dojo will no longer be able to provide services to you, and, if applicable, you may obtain a refund via our refund policy. The American Dojo reserves the right to change this policy without notice at anytime.
